Celeb Q and A
You ask the questions!
cbs.soapsindepth.com gives you a chance to ask questions of your favorite stars!

Dear Nancy,
What is your memorable/favorite Michelle and Danny moment? Those scenes were great and you did an amazing job!
Courtney
Dear Courtney,
"I would say Robbie's birth scenes, as well. Those are my favorite scenes, ever, that I've done there."
Dear Nancy,
What's your favorite food?
Ree
Dear Ree,
"There's so many! Mexican food. I love Mexican food. I can eat it every night. I love tacos."
Dear Nancy,
How do you like working with Paul Anthony Stewart (Danny)?
Laura
Dear Laura,
"I think Paul is a great actor. He teaches me a lot, and I feel like we work really well together in our scenes. So it's really great working with him."
Dear Nancy,
How difficult was it for you to take over the role of Michelle and how long did it take you to feel like you had made it your own character?
Amy
Dear Amy,
"It took me like six months to feel like it was my own character, I guess. And it was difficult only because it's so much work on a soap — learning lines and getting used to doing everything in one take. That fast pace was very difficult for me to get used to at first, because there's so much pressure involved in that. You don't have any rehearsal, so it becomes a little nerve-racking. You couldn't focus on anything other [than that] at the time, because there're so many things to think about. I mean, you're always thinking about your character and developing your character, as an actor. That wasn't as much of my concentration back then as it is now."
Dear Nancy,
Can you please tell me where I could purchase your film Some Fish Can Fly? I have tried everything!
Susan Giampietri
Dear Susan,
"I don't know! I thought you could buy it in some video stores. It was supposed to be distributed, so [it should be available]. I'm pretty sure you can rent it in some video stores. I know the other one, Durango, you can buy in Hallmark stores."
Dear Nancy,
What do you see as the greatest strengths of the character of Michelle? What are some traits of the character that you think often get Michelle into difficulty?
A. Bown
Dear A.,
"I think compassion and forgiveness. And I think the traits that get her into difficulty are stubbornness and her investigative spirit, or tenacious curiosity."
Dear Nancy,
What is your favorite scene that you have done with Paul Anthony Stewart (Danny)?
Jessica
Dear Jessica,
"We had a lot of fun with the Mission: Impossible type scenes. The story was kind of weak in a way, but it was really fun to do."
Dear Nancy,
Can you name three things you and Paul have in common? Things such as food, singer/group, movies, ice-cream etc...?
Teresa Abbruzzese
Dear Teresa,
"Well, we both love to eat! And we both try to work out regularly. And we both love to shop. We love buying candles and soaps and stuff like that. A lot of clothes. It has proven to be a dangerous partnership!"
Dear Nancy,
I was watching an episode of GL and thought I noticed that you have a tattoo. Do you? If so, what is it, and how did you decide upon that design?
caitlin
Dear caitlin,
"Yes, I have a tattoo. It's a Chinese character. It's a symbol for ambition. I needed a little more of an ambitious nature in me at the time. And I did it with all my girlfriends. I was with my best friends. And they said, 'Let's do something crazy.' And so we just decided on a whim to get tattoos. And I wasn't going to do it, actually. I was too scared, and I really didn't want a permanent mark on my body! But at the last minute, I figured I didn't want to miss this moment, this memory that I'd have of my friends for the rest of my life. So I put it somewhere where I thought no one would ever see it. But they make such low-rise pants nowadays, it tends to show more than I'd like it to!"
Dear Nancy,
Do you get the opportunity to interact and play with Robbie before your scenes?
S. Ryan
Dear S.,
"We try to interact with Robbie as much as we can now before we tape. He's starting to get at that age where he's becoming a little shy and clingy to his mother. I did some scenes with him today, and I spent like five minutes with him, playing beforehand, just to get him used to us again."
Dear Nancy,
Do you have any say in what the wardrobe department has you wear?
Kitty
Dear Kitty,
"No, not really. If I threw a fit, maybe. But I'm not really that way, so I try to let them do their job, and I do mine."
Dear Nancy,
I love watching GL and I think the role of Michelle was made for you. But I wanted to know, did you ever consider a different career before you became an actress? If so, what made you change your mind?
Michelle
Dear Michelle,
"Yeah, I wanted to be a ballerina. But I discovered acting and fell in love with acting, and decided you can only dance for so long, anyway!"
Dear Nancy,
What is the one word that descibes you best?
Janine Santacroce (Imbasciani)
Dear Janine Santacroce,
"I don't know what word describes me best. Light-hearted. I'm pretty easy-going. It's not really one word, though! I'd say carefree, but I don't think I'm carefree!"
Dear Nancy,
Does your family watch you on Guiding Light?
Adrienne Kissee
Dear Adrienne,
"My mom does, and sometimes one of my sisters."
Dear Nancy,
What type of storyline would you most like to see Michelle take on? Out of all the actors on the show, which would you most like to have scenes with that you don't work with now?
Jennifer Stern
Dear Jennifer,
"I don't know. I like the fun stuff that they're letting Michelle start to do now. Like the fun beach scenes that we had. That was a lot of fun to do. I like having scenes with friends that aren't so serious. So having more scenes with Bill [Daniel Cosgrove] and Ben [Matthew Bomer] would be a lot of fun."
Dear Nancy,
Do share an off-camera friendship/relationship with any of your GL castmates? If so, who? What kinds of things do you do?
JI102
Dear JI102,
"Yeah, I share a good friendship with Saundra (Santiago, Carmen), and Paul. Everyone, really. I'm friendly with Laura Wright (Cassie) and Beth Ehlers (Harley). Elizabeth Hobgood (ex-May) and I stayed very, very close."
Dear Nancy,
Do you ever surf the Internet and various message boards to get a feeling for fan reaction of the storyline?
Wendy
Dear Wendy,
"I have gone on the message boards a couple of times. I'd like to do it more, but it's actually frustrating sometimes, because we really have no control over the storylines. So sometimes it's so frustrating to hear the remarks and not be able to do anything about it. Especially if you agree with them!"
Dear Nancy,
I'm trying very hard to become an actress and I think you do a wonderful job. I love GL and I think you fit Michelle's character perfectly. Do you have any advice on auditioning and just the industry as a whole?
Amanda Pulley
Dear Amanda,
"You've got to really persevere. It's a lot of hard work. Get training. I believe in training. Acting class, and studying. For whatever type of thing you do in the entertainment industry, I think it's really important to get well-skilled and trained. And then you have to really be persistent."
Dear Nancy,
Teton asks... What was it like growing up in a large family? Are you close to them, and do you get the chance to visit?
Teton Womyn
Dear Teton,
"It was chaos! I'm close to them now. When we were growing up, we fought like cats and dogs. I visit three or four times a year, if I can. I try to. All my sisters are scattered across the country, and my brothers all live in Baltimore."
